Did you know you can up your PR points with this simple test?

Yes, you saw that right. You can give the NAATI CCL Test, and when you pass it, you get extra 5 points for your EOI.

The NAATI CCL Test is a test of your language interpretation ability at a community level. It aims to test how well you understand and interpret the daily conversations in Australian society.

NAATI, an organization that is responsible for taking this test, has a list of languages that come under LOTEs, i.e., Languages Other Than English. It is an opportunity for people from non-English speaking countries to appear in the test and earn those easy points.

In the CCL Test, you'll hear two dialogues, one at a time and at the end of each dialogue segment, you'll hear a chime sound. This sound is a cue for you to start your interpretation. You have to interpret the conversation from English to LOTE and vice versa; LOTE being your native language or the language you chose for the test.

Each dialogue is worth 45 marks; you'll have to score at least 29 in each one and have an overall score of 63 or above to pass the test. And after passing the test, you can claim those 5 PR points you deserve.
